Rydell Nissan of Grand Forks

Feb 8, 2021

The new 2021 Nissan Rogue is now available, and SUV lovers are taking notice of its redesign. And why not? It’s loaded with driving capability on and off the road with available AWD, has the latest and greatest tech to keep you connected and safe, and boasts style for miles. The only question you’ll have to answer is which model should you choose? Well, we’ve assembled a list of the best features on the available 2021 Nissan Rogue trims to help you figure out which one will be best for you.

Major Curb Appeal

Every Rogue has the same striking style — an angular front fascia with the trapezoidal grille that proudly sports the Nissan emblem. The grille is framed by LED headlights at the hood line, fog lamps below, and the air vents complete the aggressive stare. Roof rails add style to the gently sloping roofline and the sculpted body and standard 17-inch wheels give the Rogue its athletic stance. The muscular bulging rear fascia features a roof-mounted rear spoiler and wrapping LED taillights warn the competition not to follow.

2021 Rogue S Trim

On the outside, the Rogue S demands attention with LED lighting all around, including LED daytime running lights. Body-color outside mirrors and a body-color rear spoiler add style and performance. It rolls on 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.

Inside you have a six-way adjustable driver’s seat and a four-way adjustable passenger seat. The rear seat is a 60/40-split fold design and the premium cloth materials are soft and comfortable. Air conditioning, power windows and doors, and an integrated key with remote keyless entry and push-button start are all standard.

The standard Nissan Connect infotainment system is run through the 8-inch touch screen in the center stack. Android Auto and SiriusXM work hands-free with the standard Voice Recognition system.

Under the hood, you’ll find a powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with dual overhead cams, direct-injection technology, and a Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System. Nissan pairs this with their Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission with dynamic step shifting. It also features a manual mode and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. This powertrain gets 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque.

You also get four selectable drive modes to tailor your ride to the road conditions. Auto mode is for your daily driving. Eco mode is for the long road trips where economy is everything. Sport mode dials in your throttle and steering for a more thrilling ride. Snow mode is great for those wintry conditions. Off-Road mode is engineered for dirt, gravel, and sand.

Driver-assist systems include Intelligent Forward Collision Warning. This system watches not one, but two cars ahead. When it detects a sudden deceleration, it alerts you to slow down. Automatic Emergency Braking works with the Intelligent Forward Collision Warning system and will apply additional brake support if you fail to react in time to help lessen a potential impact. It also features Pedestrian Detection that works at low speeds to help you stop when a pedestrian enters your path.

A Lane Departure Warning system uses sensors mounted high on your Rogue’s windshield to monitor your driving within marked lanes. When it detects a drift, it will send an alert. Blind Spot Warning uses optical sensors to monitor your blind spots, alerting you when a vehicle enters them. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert does the same when a vehicle passes behind you while in reverse, and the Rear Automatic Emergency Braking system will intervene should you be slow to react.

2021 Nissan Rogue SV Trim

The SV model has all the features on the S, plus a few additions. The sideview mirrors are heated and feature LED turn signal indicators. A moonroof, power liftgate, and roof rails are available options. Inside, you upgrade to a dual-zone climate control system. You also get a Nissan Intelligent Key and a remote engine start system with intelligent climate control.

The eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat is standard. You also get options to upgrade to leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Technology additions include a 4G-LTE Wi-Fi hot spot. ProPILOT Assist, Intelligent Lane Intervention, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention, and Intelligent Around View Monitor are all added to the driver-assist suite.

2021 Nissan Rogue SL Trim

The SL model has all of the features on the S and SV, plus some standard upgrades. LED fog lights are added to the lighting system. Roof rails, 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, and a motion-activated liftgate are also standard. Inside, you’ll enjoy the tri-zone climate control system, rear sunshades, and the Divide-N-Hide Cargo System.

Leather seating and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are both heated and standard in the SL. The front driver’s seat upgrades with a memory function to record two settings for seats and outside mirrors. The rear folding seats now operate remotely and power-fold. You’ll have access to infotainment upgrades too.

2021 Nissan Rogue Platinum Trim

The Platinum model is the top of the line trim and has all the features of the S, SV, and SL with a few nice compliments. For starters, it rides on 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Inside, the Interior Accent Lighting adds signature style to match your mood. The seats feature quilted semi-aniline leather and the rear seats are now heated as well.

The dashboard is fully digital, including all your gauges. Your infotainment center features a 9-inch touch screen. You’ll get Nissan Door-To-Door Navigation with Premium Traffic and a Head-Up Display that projects critical driving data to the windshield above the steering wheel. Apple CarPlay is added on, along with a wireless charging pad and a Bose Premium sound system.

ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Front/Rear/Side Sonar are new additions to your driver-assist suite of technologies.
