Stub’s Bar

If you’re looking for a place to relax with friends, shoot some pool, and enjoy some of the best microbrews in town, look no further than Stub’s Bar. This cozy little nook serves some of the best craft beer and specialty pizzas in the area. You can always order traditional pizza like pepperoni or pepperoni and sausage, or you can try something a bit more creative. Their chicken alfredo pizza has alfredo sauce and chicken with melted mozzarella and cheddar cheese. The popular T-Rex is a meat eater’s dream with marinara sauce, pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, beef, bacon, and melted mozzarella cheese.

Tap That is a sports bar in Hillsboro where you can watch sports games and enjoy a drink special or two. Stop in for happy hour, order some appetizers, and take advantage of their drink specials like their $3 mimosas, $5 Bloody Mary’s, and $3 tap beer. The staff at Tap That also likes to celebrate the holidays. For Thanksgiving, they feature a turkey-day-inspired margarita with pumpkin, tequila, apple cider, and ginger ale, plus their Hot Baked Apple Fireball, which is a local favorite.

Mayville’s Pizza Shop

You can’t go wrong ordering some amazing drinks and delicious pizza from Mayville’s Pizza Shop. This local pizza place serves American fare along with some incredible tasting pizza pies. They serve traditional pizzas with toppings like pepperoni or veggies, but they have some innovative and creative pizzas to share with their customers as well. Try the Kraut pizza which is topped with Canadian bacon and sauerkraut. You can also order the Shrimp Alfredo which features alfredo sauce with shrimp on their delicious crust. One of their most creative pies is the PB&J, which is topped with peanut butter, pepperoni, and jalapeño peppers.

Mayville’s also serves other flavorful and tasty dishes like subs, grinders, and burgers. They have chicken wings made-to-order and served with your choice of spicy, barbecue, or sweet chili sauce. Their broasted chicken, which is never frozen, is hand-breaded and cooked when it’s ordered.

If you’d simply like to enjoy an appetizer or two with a mixed drink or a beer, then take a look at their starters menu. Their fried spears are anything but traditional. Fried pickle spears and havarti cheese are wrapped in an egg roll wrapper, fried, and served with dipping sauce. Their jalapeño cheddar tots are stuffed with Jalapeño and cheese and served with ranch dressing.

You can’t forget about the tap or bottled beer. While the tap beer changes seasonally, their bottled beer includes traditional selections like Bud Light, Miller Lite, Bud Crowne, Corona, Dos Equis, and Angry Orchard.
