Owner and operators George and Mary Widman are proud residents and happy to be operating this mom-and-pop candy store within the community. Anyone who has ever visited knows everyone goes to Widman’s for their Widman’s Chippers. These sweet little treats are made from scratch and individually dipped chocolate-covered potato chips. Grab yourself some, and you’ll become a patron for life! 

As you enter, you’ll see beautiful white shelving and natural lighting that serve as the perfect background to highlight the chocolate treats they house. On a typical day, you’ll find George and Mary chatting and behind the counter of their shop at 116 S. Broadway. The store is open seven days a week year-round, except for Memorial Day and Christmas. They are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. They don’t have a website, so call 218-218-1487 for any additional information. With a reputation for having some of the best chocolate in the state, this gem is worth a visit.

Wish Upon a Star is a quaint consignment store in Crookston. It is the ideal little stop to find a one-of-a-kind gift for the person who has everything.
