The 2021 Nissan Titan comes in five trim levels, each powered by a 5.6-liter V-8 engine. This robust engine is rated at 413 pound-feet of torque and 400 horsepower and is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. On most trim levels, four-wheel drive is available as an upgrade, although this system often decreases the towing capacity on the truck. If you plan to take your Titan off the beaten path, the upgrade to four-wheel drive is probably worthwhile.

The Pro-4X trim is designed for off-roading, featuring four-wheel drive as a standard. Additional features include Bilstein off-road shock absorbers, hill descent control, a radiator skid plate, an electronic locking rear differential, and a two-speed transfer case.

Towing Features

The Nissan Titan has a maximum payload capacity of 1,690 pounds, while the XD model can carry an impressive 2,390 pounds of payload. The optional SV Tow package is a must when you plan to tow heavy loads, as it bundles a trailer brake controller that allows you to adjust the trailer’s brakes from inside the cab, tow mirrors, and a class IV receiver hitch with a four-pin/seven-pin harness connector.

The Titan includes unique cargo area features, including a cargo management system called Titan Boxes. This system is designed to keep your items securely locked away and stored and includes plenty of tie-downs located throughout the bed. Titan Boxes can be removed and used as portable coolers. You can also get LED bed lighting to provide a wider view of the cargo area, even when the sun is down.

The functional Utili-track channel system adds five durable metal channels to all edges of the bed, while the aluminum alloy cleats can slide on the floor or walls to secure the items stored within the cargo area. You can also get your Titan equipped with a spray-in bed liner, which protects the cargo area and helps to prevent the risk of corrosion. The material used within the bed also prevents moisture from building up in your cargo area and can create a less slippery surface, making it easier and safer to load and unload the bed.

You can stay connected, fully charged, and ready for anything. This unit opens quietly and smoothly, making for easier loading and unloading.

Powerful Safety Features

The 2021 Titan is also designed with your safety in mind, as well as the safety of those around you on the road. Every trim level comes equipped with Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of active driver aids. This package includes blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and rear automatic braking. Trailer sway control, which helps to stabilize the trailer you’re towing, and high-beam assist also come standard across the board.

The surround-view camera system is available in the Pro-4X Convenience package and comes standard on the SL and Platinum Reserve trim levels.
